Curriculum vitae

Zsolt Saffer received the Msc. degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Budapest, in 1989. He received a special engineering postgraduate and the PhD degree in informatics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) in 2005 and in 2010, respectively.

From 1992 to 1997 he worked at R&D of Alcatel Austria, Vienna, on software development of Public Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) systems. In 1997, he joined to the technology group of Philips Speech Recognition Systems, Vienna, where he took part in development of Philips speech recognition technology. From 2012 he is a lecturer at University of Applied Sciences, Vienna in the area of Information Technologies and Telecommunications. Besides of his activities in Vienna he takes part in research activity of Department of Telecommunications, BUTE since 2007.

His current research interests includes queueing theory, and its application to performance evaluation of modern telecommunication networks.
